1. Who you contract with
These terms apply between you and Ahmed Salem (Apidot) (“we”, “us”), acting as a private individual, for use of the website “Be German – Einbürgerungstest” (the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing access, or continuing to use the Service, you accept these terms.
2. What the Service is
The Service is a study aid for the German naturalisation test. It presents the official question catalogue in German, plus progress tracking one free mock test and help text for questions 1–15; the paid Exam Pass adds help text in your language for every question, a study plan and unlimited timed mock tests. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge (BAMF) or any authority. Passing the real test is never guaranteed, and the Service is not legal advice on your naturalisation application.
3. Your account
You must give accurate information and keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to agree to these terms (in Germany, generally at least 18, or with a legal representative’s consent).
4. Licence and what you may not do
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own personal study within the plan you chose. You may not resell, redistribute, scrape or republish the content, copy the help text (in any language) into another product, reverse-engineer or bypass access limits, or use the Service for anything unlawful. You may not take screenshots or screen recordings of the Service, copy its text, or run its content through automatic translation tools or services. You may not misuse the Service: no fraud or spam, no infringement of others’ rights, no interference with its security (malware, probing, automated scraping).
We keep all rights in the software, the English help text we wrote, and the branding. The German questions come from the official public catalogue; that source is named on the About & sources page and under every question.
5. Payment, plans and billing
Paid access is sold as the Exam Pass, a one-time payment with no end date; it does not renew automatically. Earlier one-time 3-month purchases keep working until they end. Prices are shown on the pricing page and include any applicable VAT, which our payment provider calculates and handles. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics follow Paddle’s Buyer Terms (https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms).
6. Availability
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change. Your progress is stored in your account and a copy on your device; keep a backup file if your progress matters to you.
7. Suspension and ending access
We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, for a security or fraud risk, or for repeated or serious misuse. You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time from the Account page; deleting the account erases your stored progress and any paid access tied to it.
8. No warranties; liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” with no implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses (lost profits, data or goodwill), and our aggregate liability for claims arising from the Service is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. This does not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Germany, with the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence unaffected. Disputes are subject to the courts at our seat, unless other mandatory rules apply to you as a consumer. You can also raise problems with us first at the contact address above.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the last change. If a change matters to you, we will point it out here or by email before it takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept it.
